Odd Rockets are the people who create sparks where maybe they shouldn’t - or where other people think they shouldn’t. Or perhaps they are the occasional explosions that go off without warning at an ‘inappropriate’ moment.

 

The Odd Rocket is the one that doesn’t fire straight. It veers off at an impossible angle, screeching gleefully as it hurls itself towards the moon tied to a stick with a bit of garden wire.

 

Odd Rockets are playful, welcoming and open, they don’t make judgements or place expectations on others. Community and connection are at the core of everything they do. If you try to put Odd Rockets in a box you’ll never get the bleddy lid back on.

 

The Odd Rocket Collective doesn’t have a singular mission, it exists to facilitate a multitude of missions. Or maybe its mission is simply to unify. Through a physical, but mainly a conscious, space, stirring a cauldron of creative souls. It exists to support and encourage creative practice in all its forms, to enable connection and exploration, and take all possible steps to remove barriers to the arts.

 

This is a collective for dreamers, for makers and shakers, the impossible to label, the quietly curious, a place for the sparky (and sparkly) to gather, laying trails of gunpowder for others to burn, making a mess as they ignite the fuse on beautiful explosions...

The Odd Rocket Collective is an ever-growing network of multi-disciplinary artists and creatives, sharing space, skills, time, and energy to support collaborative projects which elevate social consciousness and empower diverse communities.

We are a burgeoning Community Interest Company, relying on grants and subscriptions to sustain itself. Subscription fees also feed into a funding pot, which will be used to enable creative endeavours and projects that members of the Collective want to pursue.
